Double-laureate at both the 2015 Hamamatsu and 2014 ARD International Competitions, Romanian-born British pianist Florian Mitrea was a prize-winner at the 2016 RNCM’s James Mottram and Verona International Competitions, too. He has performed at King’s Place, St John Smith Square, Colston Hall, and abroad at the Bavarian Radio, Seoul Arts Centre, Bunka Kaikan Hall in Tokyo and the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. He has played with the Philharmonia in London, Collegium Musicum in Basel, and George Enescu Philharmonic in Bucharest. He is also a highly-experienced chamber musician. BBC Radio 3 have recently broadcast his Dartington-Festival recital with violinist Chloë Hanslip. This recital will provide a luxurious showcase of some of the greatest composers of piano music.
